01About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and From Code to Creation (FCTC) ("FCTC", "we", "us"). By registering for a webinar or bootcamp, or by using this website, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't register.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data and forms part of these terms.
02Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to register. You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.
03Our programmes
- Webinars are free, live introductory sessions. Registering reserves your place but seats may be limited.
- Bootcamps are paid, multi-week live cohorts with a limited number of seats.
- Sessions are delivered online via Google Meet. You are responsible for having a suitable device and internet connection.
- We may adjust the schedule, curriculum or instructors where reasonably necessary. If we make a significant change before a bootcamp starts, we will tell you and you may cancel for a full refund.
04Registration and payment
- Bootcamp fees are shown in Nigerian Naira (₦) on our website at the time you apply.
- After you apply, we send you a Paystack checkout link. Your seat is confirmed once payment succeeds.
- Promotional prices (for example, a reduced fee for early sign-ups) apply only while stated and cannot be applied retroactively.
- Paystack's own terms apply to the payment itself. We do not see or store your card or bank details.
05Refunds and cancellations
- You are entitled to a full refund if you request it within 1 week (7 days) of the bootcamp's first class. No reason needed.
- To request a refund, email hello.fctc@gmail.com from the address you registered with.
- Refunds are returned to your original payment method via Paystack. Processing times depend on your bank.
- After the 1-week window, fees are non-refundable, except where we cancel or significantly change the bootcamp.
- If we cancel a bootcamp, you will receive a full refund or, if you prefer, a place in a future cohort.
06Recordings and course materials
Live sessions are recorded and shared with participants of that cohort. By joining a session you acknowledge that your name, and your voice, video or chat messages if you choose to share them, may appear in the recording. You can take part with your camera and microphone off.
Recordings, slides, code samples and other materials are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial learning. You may not share access, redistribute, resell or publicly post them without our written permission.
07Conduct
To keep sessions useful for everyone, you agree not to:
- Harass, abuse or discriminate against instructors or other participants.
- Share session links or give your seat to someone else.
- Record sessions yourself or share other participants' personal information without their consent.
- Disrupt sessions or misuse the platforms we use.
We may remove anyone who breaches these rules from a session or programme. Removal for serious or repeated misconduct is not eligible for a refund.
08Intellectual property
All content on this website and in our programmes, including the FCTC name and logo, curriculum, recordings and materials, belongs to us or our licensors. The code and projects you build during a bootcamp are yours.
09Disclaimers
We work hard to make our programmes valuable, but learning outcomes depend on your own effort. We do not guarantee employment, income or any particular result from taking part.
The website and programmes are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party platforms, your internet connection or events outside our reasonable control.
10Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to a programme is limited to the amount you paid for that programme. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under Nigerian law, including under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
11Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you register applies to that programme. We will update the date at the top of this page whenever we make changes.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We'd always prefer to resolve concerns informally, so please contact us first. Any dispute that can't be resolved will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
